The McPherson Bullpups aim to be 6-0

The McPherson Bullpups take on the Augusta Orioles Friday night at Armand Hillier Stadium. The Bullpups come into this game 5-0 including a 3-0 division record. , their only close game was last week against Buhler. The Orioles, on the other hand, have struggled mightily, only winning two of their five games. Their offense hasn’t been able to get off the ground, only averaging 17 points a game. This stands in stark contrast to the Bullpups who’ve averaged 40 points per contest. The Bullpups will hope to get the connection between Senior QB Kaleb Hoppes and Junior WR Aaron Powell working early and often. Powell has been on the receiving end of numerous long passes this season and leads the Bulldogs receiving corps with 351 yards this season. Senior Cody Stufflebean will try to lead the defense tonight, as he’s been doing all season, he’s already racked up 20 tackles and five tackles for loss.
The game will kick off at 7 p.m. on Friday. The forecast is clear skies and chilly temperatures dipping down into the high thirties.
