The McPherson Girls Volleyball team won against the Winfield Vikings, 25-19 25-13, and lost against the Andale Indians, 25-19, 20-25, 14-25, on Tuesday night in a triangular match. This brings their season record to 27-11. Coach Christy Doile said after the matches, “We had a pretty good night.  Our plan was to come out against Andale like it was sub-state day…We were up by 7 points in the middle of set 2, but this time we dished out multiple unforced errors amongst our team. Our confidence and momentum seemed to shift.”.

The Bulldogs will finish 6th in the 5A West Region. They will play Goddard-Eisenhower HS on Saturday at Andover High School at 2:00 p.m. If the higher seeds win both games the Bullpups will face Andover in a match that will determine the sub-state champion. Coach Doile referred to this weekend as a 2nd chance, “When we play a good team, they will fight back and we have to handle their runs. We have to fight to keep momentum, keep confidence on Saturday.  We get a 2nd chance on Saturday to learn from our experience.”. We’ll see if that experience pays off on Saturday.
