McPherson Women Victorious in Mac Classic

McPherson, Kan. – The McPherson Women’s basketball team beat the Randall Saints 86-69 Saturday night. The Bulldogs won their second game in a row and improve to 3-1 this season. The Bulldogs started out slow, scoring the games’ first bucket, but then watching the Saints go on a 9-2 run. Both teams had turnovers and missed point-blank layups. Maison Moseley (So. Woodward, Okla.) and Brittany Roberts (Jr. Mansfield, Texas) led the early scoring. Roberts dominated the first quarter scoring in myriad ways; putbacks, in transition and in the half-court. Kenajah Upchurch (Fr. Bullpup Domination

The McPherson Bullpups Football team dominated the Abilene Cowboys Friday night, winning 63-7. This was as lopsided a match-up as you’re likely to see in the Class 4A state tournament. The Bullpups move on to face Goddard next week in the Round of 16. The Bullpups dominated all phases of the game. The running game was in high gear; they ran 24 times for 193 yards. Senior Jakob Feil had eight totes for 94 yards and two touchdowns. Jonah Clark, Kaleb Hoppes, Aiden Hoover, and Matt Ramey all scored touchdowns in the first half. The score was 49-0 at halftime.

Bulldogs Undefeated in Mac Classic

McPherson, Kan. – The McPherson College men’s basketball team beat the Barclay Bears 93-70 Friday night. The Bulldogs improve to 2-0 on the season. Lual Magot (Sr. Tucson, AZ) and Kemryn Jenkins (Jr. Eminence, KY) combined for the first 11 points of the game for the Bulldogs. Both teams shot well initially. The score was 11-10 in favor of the Bulldogs with 13 minutes left in the first half before the ‘Dogs went on an 18-5 run to bring the score to 29-15.
