Read moreThe unofficial results are in. Some were a surprise, others weren’t. Granted the numbers are not final. Approximately 66 provisional ballots are still going to have to be counted and there were some write-in votes to be tallied, but that number won’t change the results by enough to change the outcome at this point.

When solid double yellow lines are in the center of the roadway, drivers are not allowed to pass a vehicle in front of them. When solid and broken yellow lines are in the center of the roadway, the driver on the side with the solid yellow line may not pass other vehicles in front of them. The driver on the side with the broken yellow line may pass vehicles in front of them when it is safe to do so.

Read moreCollege jazz musicians from across the state will gather at McPherson College on Nov. 7 for the Sixth Annual Jazz Festival. Performances throughout the day will be in Brown Auditorium and Mingenback Theatre and are free to the public. The McPherson College Jazz Band will perform in Brown Auditorium at 11:30 a.m. as part of the festival.

Read moreMcPherson High School will again allow basketball season ticket holders to renew their season tickets by mail beginning Nov. 4. This mail-in system is for the renewal of current seat assignments only and not for the acquisition of new season tickets. To renew by mail, you must send a self addressed stamped envelope along with payment of $60 per seat (eight games). Those season ticket holders having senior citizen or complimentary passes can renew their season tickets for $40 each as long as the senior citizen or complimentary pass is mailed in with the payment. (We do not need your basketball seat tickets from last year). Your pass will be returned with your 2019-20 season ticket(s).
