The McPherson City Commission, by unanimous vote, approved the increase to solid waste fees. The McPherson Area Solid Waste Utility collection and disposal of waste fee will increase as of Jan. 1, 2020. Residents will see an increase of 3.5% to the base fee for residential trash and a $.5 increase each month for the closed landfill fee. The monthly residential service of solid waste collection and disposal rate will increase from $17.08 o $17.47 per month. At this time the per household rate will not increase.
McPherson Police, Emergency Medical Services and Fire Department responded to a vehicle accident at 6 p.m. on Monday on North Grimes Street, when a car collided with a mail box at. McPherson, Kan. – The McPherson Bulldogs Volleyball team beat the Avila Eagles Tuesday night, 23-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-15. The Bulldogs move to 14-11 on the season with a 6-5 record in KCAC play. The Bulldogs began the match somewhat lethargically, before rallying back to win some points at the end of the first set. WINNERS Baltimore Ravens The Ravens hung 37 on the Patriots Sunday night. That is an incredible sentence to type seeing as how the Patriots had allowed less than a touchdown per game in their 8-0 start.
