The McPherson Opera House will be showing the movie “Judy” on Nov. 22 and Nov. 24. Written by Tom Edge and Peter Quilter, the show looks at iconic actress Judy Garland, three decades after her famous role as Dorothy in “The Wizard of Oz.” While living life after the yellow brick road, Garland is still selling out performances. She spends time with remembering her life and begins her relationship with Mickey Deans who would become her fifth husband. Directed by Rupert Goold, the film stars Finn Wittrock, Renée Zellweger and Rufus Sewell.
The movie will be shown at 2 and 7 p.m. on Nov. 22 as well as 2 and 6 p.m. on Nov. 24. There will be no Saturday showing as the Joseph Hall’s Elvis show will be on the stage instead.
