The McPherson Middle School teams were back in action Thursday night, and all four were victorious. The boy’s A-team started the action with a 55-33 blowout win over the Salina Lakewood Mustangs. The Bullpups led 29-18 after the first half but allowed too many Mustang transition points. Coach Crawford said, “We talked at the half about locating the ball and containing it and getting it out of the middle of the court.”. Bulldogs hang on against Sterling

The Bulldogs were not at their offensive or defensive best Thursday night, but their effort on both ends carried them. The win moves them to 8-3 on the season and 5-2 in KCAC play. The Bulldogs trailed for most of the first half before a late run catapulted them to a 35-32 lead. Poor shooting was the main culprit, along with a few careless passes. Bulldogs win shocker over Sterling

Sterling came into the game with an 8-2 overall record and a 6-0 record in KCAC play. Preston Case Proceeds to Evidentiary Hearing

Daniel Le’Voughnte Preston appeared in front of Judge John Klenda in the District Court of McPherson County this afternoon. Preston, 24 asked to proceed with an evidentiary hearing for the case in which he is charged with kidnapping and robbery. The evidentiary hearing will examine the testimony and evidence to determine if there is enough in the case to proceed. The hearing is scheduled to take place at 9 a.m. on Jan. 14, 2020.
