Next Pup Up: Lady Pups Dominate Trojans Despite Missing Two Starters

It was challenging enough to lose one senior in Lakyn Schieferecke, but Bullpups also lost Emma Ruddle as she reportedly suffered a compartment syndrome which will keep her out for six weeks. Tigers Struggle At Haskell

By Sports Editor Peter Holland Jr. LAWRENCE – It has been one month since the Central Christian College men’s basketball team beat Haskell University, but on Thursday night, it was a different story. The Tigers fall to the Indians 71-53 on the road.  Just only 10 days after their win over Barclay College, the Tigers have lost three of the last four games, dropping to 7-3 on the season and 0-2 in conference play. Chamber Hosts 2019 Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge

An incredibly talented class of entrepreneurs used their imaginations to create new services, new products and new ways of filling the needs of a community. At the 2019 Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge hosted by the McPherson Chamber in association with the NetWork Kansas E-Community Partnership, the students presented their business concepts to a panel of judges.  They showed confidence in their business proposals during their 4-minute presentations and had visual slides of data to back it up.  Having submitted their executive summary of financial information and target market research to be judged prior to the YEC, they still had to complete the third part of the competition, the trade show.  Once again, the students shined with enthusiasm in communicating their business ideas and had visual displays that showcased their talents.

Bullpup Wrestlers Off To Dominating Start After Win At El Dorado

EL DORADO –  Doug Kretzer couldn’t ask for a better start for his McPherson High School boys wrestling team than Thursday night as the Bullpups dominated El Dorado High School, 56-17, with five matches ending by pins and three by forfeits. After the first two forfeits, Lorenzo Cruzen set the bar with a 17-3 win. The highlight of the night was Jonah Clarke topping Kai Wernli 16-6 in the 170-pound weight class.
