The McPherson High Performing Fine Arts Department will present Charles Dicken’s “A Christmas Carol” at 7 p.m. on Dec. 13 and 14 on the McPherson Opera House Stage. This showing will be a little different as it is in what they are calling “Living Black and White.”
The story will be presented live on stage in the style of an old time black and white movie. First, all of the actors are costumed in shades of grey, black and white, (even their exposed skin will be spayed shades of grey). Second, all of the props/ furniture and scenery will also be painted in shades of black, grey and white colors. Near the end of the play a surprising burst of red color will appear on the stage but whom or what will don the color at the end will remain a mystery.
