After being blown out in two straight exhibition games, the Central Christian College women’s basketball team found its way back in the win column as the Tigers pummeled Kansas Christian College, 91-30 at home on Friday evening.
The Tigers were on the verge of having two players reach double-double but came up short. Holly Golden led the Tigers with 17 points and nine rebounds. Lowe had 12 points and nine assists. Cheyenne Marshall was the second-leading scorer with 16. CCC’s Head Coach Marc Golden was pleased with his team performance.
“We played well together, and it was nice to see the defense and rebounding came together,” Coach Golden said. “Kansas Christian plays hard and they do not quit. I was happy to see our ladies share the basketball and to see us get five players in double figures.”
With the win, the Tigers improve to 3-5 on the season. Still 0-2 in the SAC conference, the Tigers will get the chance to capture their first conference when they travel to Southwestern Christian University on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 6 p.m.
