Bullpup notebook: Lady Pups sell raffle tickets during Buhler game; Update of KBCA standings

Chris Strathman and the McPherson High School girls basketball program will be hosting a raffle fundraiser during the Buhler game tonight.

The tickets will be raffled with the chance of winning a 43-inch Samsung UHD Smart TV and a Microsoft XBox with NBA 2K20 Bundle. All have a retail value of $800.  The cost of one ticket is $5, two for $10 and five for $20. Tickets will be sold all night and the final drawing will be on Saturday, Dec. 21 during the Mid America Youth Basketball at the Roundhouse. The winner does not have to be present.

KBCA updates rankings

The Kansas Basketball Coaches Association released its latest rankings on Monday. The McPherson girls sit at No. 2 in Class 5A after a 3-0 start. St. Thomas Aquinas High School is No. 1 in the class.

The McPherson boys are now unranked after losing two of the last three games despite taking down Andover Central High School.  McPherson’s opponent, Buhler, is ranked No. 5 in Class 4A on the boys side at 2-0.
