BETHANY, OKLA. — The Central Christian College basketball team traveled to Bethany, Oklahoma to face Southwestern Christian University on Tuesday. The Men’s team was victorious, defeating the Eagles 75-70, but the Women’s team was not so successful as the fall to Southwestern College 84-78.
CCC men dominated the Eagles in the first half as they 41-28 at halftime. TJ Williams was the Tigers top performer as he led with 21 points Nic Mitchell and Isaiah Rivera also reached double figures with 11 points and 12 points.
The Tigers improve to 7-4 on the season but are 0-3 in SAC conference
Meanwhile, for the women, the Lady Tigers at first were in control when they led 20-10 at the half, but the Eagles kept crawling back to make it a closer game. The Eagles outscored Central 21-14 in the fourth. Despite the loss, four Tigers finished in double figures. Zenith Hernandez led the Tigers with 17 points. Holly Golden had 13. Cheyenne Marshall and Tania Lowe tied for 10 points. The Lady Tigers fall to 3-6, and 0-3 in the SAC conference.
Both teams will have their last road game before winter break as they take on Oklahoma Baptist University on Thursday.
