Stufflebean Officially Signs To Kansas State

By Sports Editor Peter Holland Jr.

The only thing Cody Stufflebean needed was a pen and his signature, now he’s a Wildcat. On Wednesday, he made it official at McPherson High School, he will play college football at Kansas State University.

After a breakout junior season in 2018 and few showcases, Stufflebean received multiple division-1 colleges offers (Colorado, Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, West Point, Air Force, Toledo, Kent State, South Dakota, Ohio and Akron). Once Kansas State pulled the trigger, Stufflebean shut down his options and announced his commitment last summer.

Stufflebean, a long-time K-State fan growing up, is listed at 6-foot-4 235 pounds and has played both tight end and defensive end as a three-year starter. This past season, Stufflebean led the Bullpups with 44 total tackles (33 solos), eight sacks and eight tackles-for-loss. On offense, he only had 12 catches but six of them ended in touchdowns.  He’s also a standout on the basketball court and a state qualifier in track and field.  Stufflebean plans to major in engineering.  Here are some memorable moments of Stufflebean during the 2019 season.
