“We have a lot of employees with a giving heart.” So says Anika Polzin (AN-ih-kuh POLL – zeen), who led this year’s United Way campaign at CHS Refinery in McPherson.
CHS and its employees have pledged a total of $99,136.40 to United Way of McPherson County.
“CHS prides ourselves in being good stewards and giving back to our hometown communities, which allows us to continue our support of the United Way of McPherson County. We are also very grateful for the corporate match that CHS pledges,” said Polzin.
The local United Way campaign now stands at $196,111.55, or 78.4% of its $250,000 goal. United Way Executive Director Rob Mackey said there are still a few company campaigns yet to report and residential donors they hope to hear from. Mackey said donations can be mailed to the United Way at Box 55, McPherson, brought by the United Way Office at 306 N. Main St., or made online at unitedwaymcpherson.org.
“CHS Inc. once again proved their commitment to McPherson County, and their willingness to help lead the way to bettering lives in the county,” United Way Volunteer Campaign Chair Kipp Cordell said. “Year after year they have proven to be a strong positive force for our campaign, and we look forward to continuing this relationship. We are thankful for CHS, and every donor, that chooses our campaign to invest back in the community.”
