McPherson Police Respond to Incidents of Theft Over Weekend

McPherson police officers were busy over the weekend. At 3:08 a.m. on Dec. 20, officers responded to a residence on North Elm Street for a past theft.
“Officers were dispatched to a residence in reference to a burglary and theft,” McPherson Police Department Administrative Captain/Public Information Officer Mark Brinck said. “The victim reported a TV, valued at $300 stolen from the victim’s residence. Investigation continues.”
At 4:23 p.m. on Dec. 20, officers responded to another theft report, this time on South Centennial Drive.
“Officers were dispatched to a shoplifting in progress at a business,” Brinck said. “Officers arrested a 29-year-old male on a McPherson County warrant and for battery on a law enforcement officer. The male was also trespassed from the business.”
At 9:25 p.m. on Dec. 22, officers responded to another theft report on East Kansas Avenue.

:”Officers were dispatched to a burglary and theft from a vehicle,” Brinck said. “The reporting party told officers, another person had $250 stolen from a vehicle. Investigation continues.”
