McPherson College athletics KANSAS CITY, MO. — The McPherson College men’s basketball team extended its current winning streak to four games, remaining perfect in 2020 with an impressive road win, 88-84 over the Avila University Eagles. The Bulldogs had a strong first half, making 16 of 30 shots from the floor, including 5 of 14 from downtown. Bulldogs Can’t Overcome Poor Shooting Against Avila

Quincy Williams KANSAS CITY, MO. —The McPherson College women’s basketball team lost its second game in a row, falling to the Avila Eagles Wednesday night 69-57. The Bulldogs kept the game close but couldn’t pull this one out. The Eagles outscored the Bulldogs by six in the first, 17-11, and second quarter, 14-8. The Bulldogs entered halftime down 12, 31-19. McPherson Police Respond to BB Gun Vandalism

At 4:35 p.m. on Jan. 7, McPherson Police Department officers responded to a residence on North Main Street for a report of vandalism. According to McPherson Police Department’s Capt. W. J. Cummins, it was stated that someone was shooting a BB gun at the house, thought there were no suspects. No report was taken, but extra patrols were put in the area.
