Samuel Schoen, 32 of McPherson is currently being housed at the McPherson County Jail on the charge of rape. He was booked into custody by McPherson County Sheriff’s Deputies on Dec. 19, 2019. His bond has been set at $150,000.
According to court documents, Schoen’s charge stems from an incident that took place Feb. 25, 2018.
Schoen’s first appearance took place Nov. 19, 2019 at which time Kevin Loeffler was appointed as his attorney. On Dec. 20, 2019, Judge John Klenda granted an evidentiary hearing that will take place at 9 a.m. on Jan. 22. The hearing will allow for formal examination of charges by way of testimony and evidence. This will allow Klenda to determine if there is enough evidence to proceed to a trial.
