Michael Benton Camden, 72, of McPherson and formerly of Dewey, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, Jan. 6, in Wichita. He was a custodian at McPherson Hospital and McPherson Middle School and had also worked at Reda Pump in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Michael was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the United Sates Navy.
Michael was born on Oct. 29, 1947, in Drumright, Oklahoma, the son of Thomas Calvin and Opal Marie (Sebastian) Camden.
He was a volunteer at the McPherson County Food Bank.
Survivors include: two children, William Camden of McPherson; daughter, Stacey Baker (Charles Cass) of Pawhuska, Oklahoma; two sisters, Norma Miller of McPherson, and Pat Seidel (Stan) of Topeka; four grandchildren, Kayla Camden, Kelsey Wilson (Shaun), Daniel Baker, and Dillon Baker; former wife, Becky Saunders of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dennis Camden, and great-grandson, Justin Allen Gray.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, January 12, 2020, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 13, at Fort Gibson National Veterans Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
