ATLANTA, GA. — Before everyone gets ready for the College Football Playoff National Championship, all eyes will be on Mason Thrash, senior linebacker of McPherson High School, as he will play in the Blue-Grey All-American bowl tonight at 5 p.m. in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

Thrash will wear No. 35 on the Blue team. The senior linebacker hopes to get on the field and make enough highlight tapes as he continues his recruiting trail. So far Thrash has four college offers from McPherson College, Bethany College, Butler County Community College and Dodge City Community College.

Bullpups Head Coach Jace Pavlovich will definitely tune in at home as he expects Thrash to make quite an impression on the coaches at the all-star game.

“Mason will be a physically dominant player on the field and during practice,” Head Coach Jace Pavlovich said. “He will immediately gain the respect of his coaches and teammates as soon as he steps on the field due to his play and attitude. ”

More than 650 colleges will be viewing the game. Most notable NFL players that played at the all-star game include Patrick Mahomes and Byron Pringle of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Thrash led the Bullpups with 90 total tackles, 6.5 tackles-for-losses, one interception and one sack. He made the Class 4A All-State team and was a finalist for the Defensive Player of the Year award courtesy of “Sports in Kansas.”
