Public Forum to be Held with Superintendent Candidates

According to McPherson Education Association President Ricardo Sanchez, the MEA will be hosting a public forum with each superintendent candidate on their respective interview days. The candidates will be announced the evening before their interview day. These forums will take place starting Feb. 3 and will continue each day through Feb. 7. They will begin at 3:45 p.m. each afternoon at McPherson High School. The public is invited to attend.

The Eighth-grade team ended in a split, while the seventh graders swept Maize South. The eighth-grade A team played in high-scoring game but unfortunately fell short in their 62-53 loss. Tigers swept at SAGU

Sports Editor Peter Holland Jr. WAXAHACHIE, TX — The Central Christian College men’s and women’s basketball team suffered another sweep on Thursday to Southwestern Assemblies of God University. The Lady Tigers fell to SAGU 91-70, dropping them to 5-11 on the season, and 2-7 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. The Tigers were led by Holly Golden, who scored 22 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Cheyenne Marshall was the second-leading scorer with 10 points. Xi Iota Epsilon Sorority, a McPherson Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, will host the 2020 Red Event on Feb. 15. The event will be held at the McPherson American Legion, 401 N. Main St. from 8 to 11 p.m. Each year since 2015 Xi Iota Epsilon has chosen female recipient who is experiencing a personal challenge to be the benefactor of the Red Event.
