Obituary: Mary Margaret  Theos

Mary Margaret  Theos, 83, of McPherson, KS, passed away at 2:19 p.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, Kansas.

Mary was born in Black Oak, Arkansas on November 30, 1936, a daughter of Dixie (Adair) and James Willie Bland.

She attended  and graduated from Valley View Country School, Black Oak, Arkansas.

Mary was a homemaker and she took great pride in providing for her family in this manner. She also had worked for Ponchos Restaurant, as a Cook and later worked as a Spool Maker for Central Plastics, both of McPherson, Kansas

Mary enjoyed needle point, playing bingo, cooking, tending to her flower garden, barbecues at her house and she loved her family very much.

Mary Margaret was married to Billy Thomas Goodman at Jonesboro, Arkansas.  She later married Roy Lee Crabtree in Missouri.  Mary later married German Theos in Los Angeles, California. 

She is survived by her children, Billy Thomas Goodman and wife Judy, of Great Bend, Kansas, Peggy  Sue  Scott, of Great Bend, Kansas, Shelia Paulette Brown, of Roxbury, Kansas, Mary Francis Voth, of Hutchinson, Kansas, and Theresa Irene Crabtree, of Wichita, Kansas; her adopted daughter, Carie Eslinger and her husband Thomas, of Roxbury, Kansas; her siblings, Billy Ray Bland, of Sheridan, Arkansas, Bobby Gene Bland, of Sheridan, Arkansas and Carolyn Ann Mears, of Sheridan, Arkansas; her ten grandchildren, Theresa Grant and husband Corey, Mindy Krause, Brandie Henry, David Crabtree, Jr. and wife Jocie, Josh Crabtree and wife Cindy, Lindsey Scott, Daniel Scott and wife Erica, Andrea Houston, Keith Boyer and Robbie Pontius and wife Kristen; her adopted granddaughter, Kailea Longacre; her 22 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Martin Dale, Charles Edward, Joe Ronald, and Jerry Wayne Bland; her sons, Donald Ray Goodman and David Wayne Crabtree; a daughter, Barbara Sue Picking; a sister, Charlene Chase; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Crabtree and an infant great-grandson, Christopher Charles Krause.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  at Glidden – Ediger Chapel, McPherson.

Funeral service will be held at Glidden – Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas, at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1st, 2020 with Pastor Lynn Scott officiating.
