Hutchinson Pulmonology Associates to Expand Services to McPherson

In response to a growing need for Pulmonology services in south central Kansas, Hutchinson Pulmonology Associates (an entity of Hutchinson Regional Medical Center) has opened an outreach clinic in McPherson as a collaborative venture with McPherson Hospital. The clinic is accepting patients every other Tuesday starting in Suite 301 of Building Two at McPherson Hospital. Serving McPherson will be Dr. Mohammed Al-Halawani and Dr. Tariq Musa who bring impeccable credentials to their positions.  Al-Halawani is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Medicine. Bullpup Bowlers Beat El Dorado

Sports Editor Peter Holland Jr. EL DORADO — Despite the snowy weather and road conditions in the Butler County area, that didn’t stop the McPherson High School bowling team from getting a clean sweep over El Dorado High School on Tuesday evening. “It was a hard day with the traveling and weather,” Head Coach Herb Halinski said. “The teams did a good job but we need to work on spares as this was the worst we have shot spares all year long.  We will practice those and be ready for Friday.” The Bullpup boys beat the Wildcats 2,265-1,979. Bullpup Swimmers Win At El Dorado

Sports Editor Peter Holland Jr. EL DORADO— In a make-up swim meet in El Dorado, the McPherson High School boys swim team was victorious on Tuesday. The Bullpups were in a tight race with Maize South High School (488) and Maize High School (416) but with the score of 502 points, the Bullpups edged both division rivals. McPherson Fire Department firefighters responded to multiple incidents in and around McPherson Jan. 27-28 At 9:13 a.m. on Jan. 27, McPherson firefighters and emergency medical services responded to 426 E. Ave. A for a call of fainting episodes. Then at 9:17 a.m. a call for a welfare check at 606 N. Hartup St. was cancelled while firefighters were enroute. At 1:22 p.m. on Jan. 28, firefighters responded to a fire alarm at 120 N. Main St. for a fire investigation.
