Six Bulldogs Reach Double Figures In 105-93 Win Over Spires

Sports Editor Peter Holland Jr. The McPherson College men’s basketball team showed its depth when six players finished in double figures after beating University of Saint Mary 105-93 on Wednesday night at the Sport Center. The Bulldogs improve to 18-6 on the season and 13-5 in KCAC. The Bulldogs went 10 deep in their rotation. Both teams were shooting lights out offensively, especially in three-pointers. The Bulldogs were shooting 51 percent from behind the arc, while Saint Mary shot 50 percent from downtown. As six Bulldogs scored in double figures, the Spires had five. Bulldogs Fall Late At Home To USM

McPherson College Athletics The McPherson College women’s basketball team dropped a heartbreaker in the Sport Center on Wednesday night to University of St. Mary, 73-69. It was an up-and-down night for the Bulldogs that saw shoot over 50 percent from the floor in the first half, but then just 21 percent in the final 20 minutes. They outscored the Spires  24-22 in the first quarter, and then played dead even in the second to lead 46-44, after a buzzer-beating, half-court shot by Danielle Holt.  Neither team shot the ball well in the third quarter, but the Spires outscored the Bulldogs 14-9
