United Way of McPherson County announced it has made its $250,000 goal. United Way Campaign Chair Kipp Cordell said pledges to date total $251,093.33. Jan. 31 is the final day of the campaign, but contributions received before midnight can still be counted toward the 2019-2020 campaign goal.
“Reaching our goal for the second year in a row exemplifies the spirit of McPherson County,” said Cordell. “Like the United Way of McPherson County and its agencies, the residents of the county are always ready and willing to help. Achieving this goal and being able to adequately fund our agencies is a feeling that will never get old. If anyone is interested in learning more about what we do and becoming
involved in the positive impact we are having on the county, I can assure them it would be worthy of their time to reach out to us.”
United Way Executive Director Rob Mackey said the campaign raised $261,088.37 last year.
“We still have today for anyone to write a check and bring it to us at 306 North Main, or you can give online at http://www.unitedwaymcpherson.org,” said Mackey. “Anything that comes in before midnight will be counted towards this campaign, and grants to our agencies from this campaign will begin in mid-March. So there’s still time to help us make a difference. We are very grateful for McPherson County’s generosity.”
