WICHITA— The McPherson High School boys swim team had another solid weekend as it took second in the Wichita Northwest Invitational on Saturday.
Rhys Vanderhoof had a big day as he took first in the 200 individual medley with the time of 2:15.07. Logn Ediger was not too far off with the third-place finish at 2:27.19. Matt Powers secured a state-qualifying time in the 200 freestyle.
Unsurprisingly, Will Powers and Justus Hampton also grabbed a pair of a first-place finish in their events. The 200 and 400 freestyle relay A team was also victorious. Head Coach Matt Cotton was also impressed by the 400 freestyle relay B team (Tytus Reed, Logan Ediger, Riley Shelton, Alex Houston) beating out the Derby team and recorded a state consideration time.
