Alberto Garcia, 26, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 7:49 a.m., Tuesday, February 25th, in the 2300 Block of 14th Avenue, in McPherson County, Kansas as a result of a weather related automobile accident.
Alberto was born in San Pablo, California on May 14, 1993, a son of Norma Edith Martin, of McPherson, Kansas and Luis Alberto Garcia, of Guadalajara, Jalisco.
Alberto attended grade school at Colegio Ninos Heroes of Tepatitlan de Morelos, Jalisco Mexico, McPherson Middle School and graduated from McPherson High School, McPherson, Kansas in 2011. He then attended Hutchinson Community College, Hutchinson, Kansas.
He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church McPherson, Kansas.
Alberta worked at Wendy’s, Dairy Queen, Central Plastics of McPherson, Excel in Salina and currently working through Team Employment at Pfizer.
Alberto enjoyed playing sports especially soccer, cage fighting, and skateboarding. He was quite the prankster and loved to tease his cousins and others. He loved spending time with his sons and was teaching them how to skate, and speaking Spanish.
Alberto Garcia and Stacia Rosales shared two sons, Aiden and Karson.
He is survived by his sons and their mother, Aiden Rosales, Karson Garcia, and Stacia Rosales, all of Salina, Kansas; mother Norma Martin, of McPherson, Kansas; father Luis Garcia, of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico; brother Adrian Garcia, of McPherson, Kansas; sister Edith Garcia, of Hutchinson, Kansas; sister Diana Garcia, of McPherson, Kansas; maternal grandparents Mario and Esther Martin, of Tepatitlan, Jalisco, Mexico; paternal grandmother Maria De La Salud Arreola, of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico; and Nephew Zaire Garcia – White, of McPherson, Kansas; many several aunts and uncles and many cousins.
Alberto was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Vicenta Navarro.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. with rosary at 7:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, McPherson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, McPherson, Kansas, at 10:00 on Friday, March 6th, 2020 with Fr. Ben Shockey officiating.
The final resting place will be in the McPherson Cemetery Mausoleum, McPherson, Kansas.
