Dala at the Prairie Window Concert Series on March 15

On Sunday, March 15, 2020, at 4 p.m., Dala will grace the Prairie Window Concert Series (PWCS) stage at Dyck Arboretum of the Plains in Hesston. The concert will take place in the Prairie Pavilion at the Arboretum overlooking the lake. Tickets are by reservation at  http://dyckarboretum.org/arboretum-event/dala/ or by calling (620) 327-8127. The cost of tickets is $25 for adults and $15 for children, plus tax. Proceeds benefit the Arboretum’s mission to cultivate transformative relationships between people and the land. SHAWNEE COUNTY – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI)  is investigating an officer involved shooting which occurred Thursday night on the Kansas Turnpike in Shawnee County. The Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) contacted the KBI at approximately 8:20 p.m. Thursday, March 5, to request assistance investigating the shooting. KBI agents and the Crime Scene Response Team (CSRT) responded to the scene. Obituary for Charles M. Johnson

Charles M. Johnson was born to Jesse and Vada (Schafer) Johnson on April 3, 1937, in Goessel, KS.  He peacefully passed away on March 5, 2020, at the Moundridge Manor, Moundridge, KS, almost reaching his eighty-third birthday. He was a lifelong member of Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. He received his formal education at Happy Hollow School. On October 13, 1957, he was joined in marriage to Joyce E.
