McPherson County Covid-19 Daily Update: March 23, 2020

As of 11:45 pm, McPherson County does not have any positive cases of COVID-19. McPherson County Health Department (MCHD) will provide public notification of any positive COVID-19 cases in coordination with State and Local Health Officials. The current recommendations of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE), the State of Kansas through Executive Order No. 20-04, and MCHD is to limit social gatherings to under 50-persons. Obituary: Stanley Gordon Wytcherley

Stanley Gordon Wytcherley, 96, of McPherson, KS, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2020, surrounded by the love of his family at The Cedars in McPherson. He was born on September 25, 1923, in Peoria, IL, the son of Edward and Erma (Bowman) Wytcherley.  He graduated from Manual High School in Peoria, Greenville College in Greenville, IL, and received his masters at Bradley University, Peoria, IL.  He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was stationed at Naval Station Great Lakes where he taught electronics and radio.   On August 27, 1947, Stan was united in marriage to Ruby Joyce Hastriter
