McPherson Hospital Offers Covid-19 Screening Clinic

McPherson Hospital shares that it is continuing to coordinate a screening clinic for coronavirus. The test administered is approved by the CDC and KDHE, and the sample is collected by a trained medical professional which results in the most reliable testing available. Patients may access the clinic by contacting their primary care provider (PCP) or McPherson Hospital at 620-241-2250. Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, or diarrhea.  Anyone with some or all of these symptoms should contact their primary care provider.

Nominate An 8th Grader For The OMEGA Award

Although so many traditional celebrations have been cancelled due to safety concerns during the pandemic, the McPherson Chamber of Commerce will still be honoring 8th grade students for their courage, compassion and service. The Outstanding McPherson Area Eighth Grade Award (OMEGA) is a long standing tradition that coincides with the origin of All Schools Day, to recognize 8th grade students. Each year 8th graders from McPherson County are nominated by their teachers, youth pastors and neighbors for the OMEGA award and are recognized by the McPherson Chamber during May Fete.
