First Covid-19 Fatality in McPherson County

McPherson County Health Department reports our first fatality from COVID-19 in McPherson County. The young man was in his 30s and was hospitalized on July 26th, 2020, due to COVID-19 complications. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. This is a somber reminder that COVID-19 does exist in our communities and it is a disease that needs to be taken seriously. Update on Covid-19 Statistics in McPherson County

McPherson County Health Department reports 131 total confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in McPherson County. 111 of the total confirmed cases have now met recovery guidelines set forth by the KDHE. There are two current hospitalizations and zero deaths. One hospitalization is a previously announced case that is a male in his 30s and is currently ventilated.  Positive case #124 was identified on July 24 and is a symptomatic female in her 60s with unknown exposure and is recovering at home.  Positive case #125 was identified on July 25 and is a symptomatic male in his 20s
