McPherson County Health Department reports 98 total confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in McPherson County. 88 of the total confirmed cases have now met recovery guidelines set forth by the KDHE. There are zero current hospitalizations and zero deaths.  Positive case #98 is a symptomatic male in his 70s with unknown exposure and is recovering at home. McPherson County now has 10 active cases of Covid-19.

Update: I-135 Closed Friday Evening

CORRECTION/UPDATE to dates: Northbound and southbound I-135 will close at 7 pm on Friday, July 17. Southbound will reopen Saturday, July 18 at 6 am while northbound will REMAIN closed and reopen by 7 pm Saturday, July 18. ROAD CLOSED SOON: I-135 will be closed overnight from 7 pm July 18 to 6 am July 19 in McPherson Co. Closure will occur from mm 58-60 as the Ave. A bridge is being demolished for replacement. Northbound traffic will exit at mm 58, southbound traffic will exit at mm 60 (U.S. 56), and follow the signed detour through McPherson via U.S.
