McPherson County Health Department reports 209 total confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in McPherson County. 187 of the total confirmed cases have now met recovery guidelines set forth by the KDHE. There are three current hospitalizations and one death. • Positive case #206 is a symptomatic female in her 30s with unknown exposure. • Positive case #207 is a symptomatic female in her 70s with unknown exposure. • Positive case #208 is a symptomatic male in his 20s with unknown exposure. • Positive case #209 is a symptomatic male in his 50s with unknown exposure. D. Gene Hill, 86, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 2nd, 2020 while in the company of family members, at his farm rural McPherson. Gene was born in at his parents’ home in Mount Hope, Kansas on December 10, 1933, a son of Callie (Adam) and Glen Benjamin Hill. Gene attended Mount Hope Grade School and graduated from Mount Hope High School, Mount, Hope, Kansas in 1951.  He then attended Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas, until he was drafted into the United States Army where he honorably served his country during the Korean War.  After his
