Pursuit Ends in the Arrest of Two in Motorhome Theft

McPherson County Covid-19 Updated

McPherson County Health Department reports 298 total cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in McPherson County. 268 of the total cases have now met recovery guidelines set forth by the KDHE or have passed away. There are two current hospitalizations and one death. MCHD is confirming medical records on 4 other deaths before listing them in our numbers. MCHD would like to send our thoughts and prayers to the families suffering loss. Village Geek Hosts Game Night

On October 9th, The Village Geek is hosting a board game night. Game night starts at 6:00 p.m. and goes till 11:00 p.m. The Village Geek is located at 116 North Main Street. Guild to Host Quilt of Valor Foundation

McPherson Quilt Guild will welcome Lisa Conner of Wichita to our regular guild meeting on Monday, October 12 at 7:00p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in McPherson. Lisa is the state coordinator and Wichita District Coordinator for the Quilt of Valor Foundation. A Quilt of Valor is a quality, handmade quilt that is machine or hand quilted. It is awarded to a Service Member or Veteran who has been touched by war. Annual Bike Ride Continues Through Covid

The McPherson Amateur Radio Club is hosting their 28th annual Falun Classic Bike Ride on October 11th. This event will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The ride will start at 1:30 p.m. and will begin and end at Swensson Park, 433 North Second Street, in Lindsborg. It’s a 32-mile loop through Smoky Valley and the town of Falun on paved roads.  Register at http://www.bikereg.com and enter in the Falun Classic; it is $30 for adults and $25 for children 14 and under, this includes support and gear, lunch, and a long-sleeve shirt from the event.
