McPherson County Covid-19 Update

McPherson County Health Department reports 321 total cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in McPherson County. 291 of the total cases have now met recovery guidelines set forth by the KDHE or have passed away. There are three current hospitalizations and three deaths. MCHD is confirming medical records on two other deaths before listing them in our numbers. MCHD would like to send our thoughts and prayers to the families suffering loss. Mac Baggers to Host Tournament

The MAC Baggers are hosting a Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, October 17th. The tournament will take place at the McPherson American Legion at 401 North Main Street. Registration will begin at 11:00 a.m. and the games will start at 12:00 p.m. It will be double elimination and bring your own partner (BYOP). It is $40.00 to enter a team. The American Legion will be serving drinks in the parking lot and Smokin Z’s BBQ will be on-site taking care of food orders.

Nadine Threse (Cox) O’Neill, 88, passed away on October 13, 2020, in McPherson, KS. Nadine Threse O’Neill was born in rural Marquette, KS to Signe Pauline and Clifford Lee Cox on January 30, 1932. She received her education in Windom, KS and went on to obtain a one-day bookkeeping system certification from a CPA in McPherson, KS. Nadine had one sister, Norma Jean Graham, who preceded her in death. She was married to Vernon John “Jack” O’Neill on June 15, 1951 in Wichita, KS.
