In response to the alarming increase in new COVID-19 cases and the pressure put on local healthcare systems, McPherson County Health Department (MCHD) and the McPherson County Board of County Commissioners/Board of Health are recommending McPherson County move back to Phase 2 of the Reopening Plan on November 9, 2020. Obituary: Jarold Otis Koehn

Jarold Otis Koehn, 63, of Canton, KS, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 7, 2020, surrounded by his family and friends at his home in Canton.  Jarold retired from Wear Technology, McPherson, where he was a machine operator. Jarold was born on February 10, 1957, in McPherson County, the son of Otis Clifford and Arletta Mae (Becker) Koehn.  He graduated from Canton High School in 1975.  Jarold was united in marriage to Linda Louise Ralston on July 3, 1989.  She preceded him in death on December 3, 2016. Maxwell Wildlife Refuge Hosting a Buffalo Auction

On Wednesday, November 18, the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism and Maxwell Wildlife Refuge will be holding a Buffalo Auction. Vintage Cars on Display at the McPherson Museum

The McPherson Museum and Arts Foundation is offering free admission into the museum at 1111 East Kansas Avenue for the newly restored classic Ford Model T’s Free admission is only November 14th for the exhibit opening. The exhibit is on display from Saturday, November 14 through February 15, 2021.. The McPherson Museum is open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00p.m. Admission is free for the month of November for McPherson College students with a student ID.
