Health Department Moves Quarantine From 14 to 10 Days

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated their quarantine recommendation in response to local circumstance and resources. The KDHE is supporting these recommendations but leaving it up to each Kansas County to decide what method they implement. McPherson County Health Department will be implementing the following protocols regarding quarantine and isolation for COVID-19: • Someone diagnosed with COVID-19 are required to isolate for 10 days from symptom onset and may be released from isolation when they have isolated for 10 days AND have had significant symptom improvement AND have been 72 hours fever-free without fever reducing medication. • Someone

Gregory Joseph Fiedler, 63, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at his home in McPherson. Greg was born on October 8, 1957, in Wichita, KS, the son of Anthony Carl Fiedler, Sr. and Geraldine Catherine “Gerry” (Leiker) Fieldler. Greg was a kid at heart and enjoyed watching cartoons and always had candy in his pockets to share with others. Survivors include: six siblings, Gail Gill (Tim) of Stanley, NM, Sheryl Anne Fiedler of McPherson, KS, Janet Stine (Dan) of Roscoe, IL, Ronald Fiedler (Dee) of McPherson, KS, Duane Fiedler of McPherson, KS, and Randy Fiedler
