Two Men Shot Overnight in Pawnee County

PAWNEE COUNTY – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI), and the Pawnee County Sheriff’s Office are investigating after two men were shot overnight in Burdett, Kan. The Pawnee County Sheriff’s Office requested KBI assistance at around 1 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 11. Special agents and the Crime Scene Response Team responded. Early Friday morning, at around 12:20 a.m., Pawnee County Communications received a 911 call after a man was shot at a house at 701 Elm St., in Burdett. Bonifacio “Boni” Bautista-Lopez, 52, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 10:21 a.m., Thursday, December 10th, 2020 suddenly, at McPherson Hospital . Bonifacio was born in San Juan Ixcoy, Guatemala on September 4, 1968, a son of Maria Lopez – Jacinto and Juan  Bautista. Through the years Boni worked in Seattle, Washington at an Apple Orchard, Tyson Foods in Georgia, and was currently working for Ferguson Production as a machine operator. Boni enjoyed working, fixing, buying cars, was good at working with his hands, working in his vegetable garden, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his children,
