Ronald “Smitty” Gene Smith, 87, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 28, 2020, at McPherson Health & Rehab.  He and his wife, Marjorie, owned and operated McPherson Laundry for many years. Ron was born on June 8, 1933, in McPherson, KS, the son of Adrian M. Smith, Sr. and Sylvia Irene (Rienbolt) Smith.  He graduated from McPherson High School in 1951.  On December 21, 1958, Ron was united in marriage to Marjorie A. Johnson at New Gottland Lutheran Church, McPherson.  She preceded him in death on July 16, 2015. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and

After 5 years of battling cancer with such a courageous and optimistic spirit,  Mary Ruxlow, 53, of McPherson, Kansas passed away at 8:53 a.m., Tuesday, December 29th, 2020 while in the company of her husband, at her home. Mary was born in Richfield, Minnesota on January 25, 1967, a daughter of  Louise and John  Paul. Mary attended the Richfield grade schools and graduated from Richfield High School, Richfield, Minnesota.  She then attended Central Christian College, McPherson, Kansas. Arthur Paul Wagoner passed away on December 27, 2020, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas with family at his side. Paul was born on March 17, 1928, in Adel, Iowa to Ethel Maurine (Stine) and Claude Leslie Wagoner.  Paul grew up in the Panther Creek Church of the Brethren. Church was an important part of family life for Paul as a child and in his adult life. Paul attended a country grade school and graduated from Adel High School in 1945.  That fall, Paul came to McPherson College where he met Mary Metzler, who would later become his wife. 

Carolyn Marie Walker, 89, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 27, 2020, with her family by her side, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.  She had lived in McPherson County her entire life and was a nurse assistant at Memorial Hospital in McPherson. She was born September 7, 1931, in rural McPherson, the daughter of Henry Adams Walker and Mildred Lucretia (Russell) Walker.  She attended McPherson Schools and graduated from McPherson High School. Carolyn was a longtime member of the First Christian Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution (Stone Corral Chapter – Lyons). Survivors include numerous

Lois Elaine Caywood, 83, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 21, 2020, at McPherson Health & Rehab. Lois was born on February 16, 1937, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Cecil Jay and Elsie Helen (Nelson) Caywood.  She graduated from McPherson High School. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, McPherson. Survivors include: her caregiver, Kenneth Cummings of McPherson, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents and a cousin, Diane Cummings. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 31, 2020, at McPherson Cemetery with Rev. Tim Leaf officiating. Memorial donations
