On February 9th, 2021, USD 418 administrators conducted interviews for the Director of Finance position. Of the candidates interviewed, Mr. Jim Johnson stood out as the best candidate for this position.
Mr. Johnson has served Kansas schools for 28 years. In 1993, he began his educational career as a fourth grade classroom teacher in Sterling, KS. In addition to his time as a classroom teacher, Mr. Johnson served as a building principal in both the Wichita and Pleasanton school districts and as superintendent in the following districts: Chase/Raymond (2 years); Towanda/Circle (4 years); Remington (5 years); and Pleasanton (5 years).
USD 418 Superintendent, Dr. Shiloh Vincent, stated “Mr. Johnson brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from his time in education that will be invaluable to the students and staff we serve. We are excited to have him join the team as the Director of Finance.”
Mr. Johnson is slated to begin on July 1, 2021.
