DC Authorities Searching for Suspect Michael Owusu-Sakyi in Shooting Incident

The Metropolitan Police Department has recently shared a fresh photograph of a 47-year-old man who is currently being sought in connection with a shooting incident that occurred over the weekend in Southeast DC.

Michael Owusu-Sakyi is currently being sought by the DC Superior Court due to a warrant issued for his arrest. The warrant is in relation to a reported shooting incident that occurred on Friday, April 5, during the early hours of the morning. The charges against him are for assault with a dangerous weapon.

In a recent development, it was revealed that Owusu-Sakyi has been apprehended and formally charged with assault using a dangerous weapon.

Police responded to a reported shooting on Fairlawn Avenue SE around 9:45 a.m. in the morning.

Officers who responded to the incident discovered a woman at the location. She received immediate medical attention and was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for her injuries, which were determined to be non-life-threatening.

The police department has released a photo of Owusu-Sakyi in their efforts to locate the wanted shooter. However, they have not provided any further details about the shooting.
