United Way Community Response fund helps local families

McPherson, KS – United Way of McPherson County continues to help McPherson County residents through its Community Response and Recovery Fund.   United Way has helped 54 families so far with rent, utility, and medication payments totaling $23,206.70. McPherson Hospital announces that the current president and CEO, Terri Gehring, has indicated she will be retiring at the end of this year. Gehring was named CEO in October of 2017 after serving the hospital for over 35 years in various roles in health information management and as chief operating officer prior to being named CEO. Free Hearing Screening Feb. 28

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Feb. 28 McPherson Masonic Lodge No. 172, 311 S. Main St., will be hosting free hearing screening tests offered by Fort Hays State University. There is no cost for the screenings. People are encouraged to schedule an appointment by calling or texting 479-549-5058 or email to carrs@cox.net. There is no charge and nothing is being sold.
