Incident minimal at Dillon’s Monday

On Monday, McPherson Police Department officers responded to a call at Dillons, 1320 N. Main St. regarding a third-hand threat to commit violence at the store. According to the police department, the threat was unfounded. No property was damaged, and the situation ended without incident or further investigation.

Hansen, Managing Editor Mikel Golden and Todd Martens were brought forward at the McPherson City Commission meeting, Monday morning, to make their positions as chief and assistant chief of police official. Guests were treated to the tales of hardship, sacrifice, and even a little fun, from three local veterans. Alan Hansen Alan Hansen was in Navy boot camp when World War II was coming to an end. While he humbly acknowledged that he didn’t see combat during that conflict, his service and sacrifice are still revered.
