From Dec. 25 to Jan. 15, people will be able to drop off real Christmas trees in a designated area of McPherson Water Park parking lot at Lakeside Park. Trees will be chipped every Friday. Free mulch to the public, can be taken from piles in the southeast corner of the Water Park parking lot.Read more

The city of McPherson will hold a public meeting at 6 p.m., Nov. 19 in the Commission Room at the Municipal Center, 400 E. Kansas Ave., to discuss the Northgate Drainage Project. The public is encouraged to give input and discuss the preliminary design of this project.Read more
McPherson City Commissioners will hold a Fall Retreat at 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 20, at the McPherson Community Building. The meeting is open to the public and will last until approximately 5 p.m. or until all agenda items have been discussed.Read more
The McPherson City Commission, by unanimous vote, approved the increase to solid waste fees. The McPherson Area Solid Waste Utility collection and disposal of waste fee will increase as of Jan. 1, 2020. Residents will see an increase of 3.5% to the base fee for residential trash and a $.5 increase each month for the closed landfill fee. The monthly residential service of solid waste collection and disposal rate will increase from $17.08 o $17.47 per month. At this time the per household rate will not increase.Read more
