Veryl was born in Salina, Kansas on November 11, 1943, a daughter of Clyde M. and Nelly N. (Treadwell) Kellams. Sandra Lee “Sandy” Beck, 80, of McPherson, Kansas and formerly of Topeka, Kansas passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at 2:44 a.m., surrounded by her family at her son’s house. Harold Glenn Schlender, a prolific McPherson homebuilder, and one of the driving forces behind the renovation of the historic McPherson Opera House, passed away early Thursday morning, January 16, 2020, at The Cedars retirement village. The cause of death was complications arising from congestive heart failure.
