Hess Fitness Center at McPherson Hospital is bringing a new “run anytime, run anywhere” 5K concept to McPherson, Feb. 1-15. Called the Heart of McPherson Virtual 5K, the race format provides an easy way for runners and walkers of all levels to participate in a “race.” Participants can run or walk the 5K anywhere–even on a treadmill. McPherson Medical and Surgical Associates, a department of McPherson Hospital, announces that patients will soon have a new process for check-in when reporting to see their care providers. Clinic representatives say the new system provided by a company called Phreesia, will ultimately save patients time and create a more accurate record.

McPherson Hospital announced a change in location for many of its specialty outpatient clinics effective immediately. A variety of visiting clinics in medical specialties come to the hospital to provide services for patients from the area. To centralize the location of these outpatient clinics, the hospital is utilizing space that became open when all hospital operated clinics moved to the new medical office building.
