Gatlin Brothers to Perform at McPherson Opera House

The Gatlin Brothers, Larry, Steve and Rudy, take the stage at the McPherson Opera House Feb. 22, at 7:30 p.m. The Grammy Award-winning trio have been dazzling audiences for more than 60 years and hold a lifetime of noteworthy achievements in their storybook career, including a Grammy for Best Country Song (“Broken Lady”), three ACM awards for Single of the Year (“All The Gold In California”), Album of the Year (Straight Ahead) and Male Vocalist of the Year for Larry Gatlin, along with five nominations for CMA Vocal Group of the Year, Single, Album and Male Vocalist of the Year.

Local bluegrass band plays weekly

The McPherson Opera House stage, was blessed recently with the jazzy, blues sound of the Smoky Valley Bluegrass Band at the venue’s annual Blast of Bluegrass event. Opera House to Show ‘Judy’

The McPherson Opera House will be showing the movie “Judy” on Nov. 22 and Nov. 24. Written by Tom Edge and Peter Quilter, the show looks at iconic actress Judy Garland, three decades after her famous role as Dorothy in “The Wizard of Oz.” While living life after the yellow brick road, Garland is still selling out performances. She spends time with remembering her life and begins her relationship with Mickey Deans who would become her fifth husband.
