A Kansas turkey poacher still faces pending charges after a Game Warden and his K-9 partner successfully discovered evidence of illegal ammunition.
During the week of April 1, Game Warden Falls and his K-9 partner Indy received a call from the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks to investigate a case involving an out-of-season turkey.
Game Warden Falls mentioned that during the investigation, Indy played a crucial role in locating various pieces of evidence. One notable find was a .410 wad that was used to hunt down one of the turkeys.
The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism (KDWP) highlighted the specialized training and certification of the Kansas Game Warden K-9s. These highly trained dogs are capable of detecting and locating various types of evidence, including burnt gunpowder residue. It is important to note that charges related to this particular case are still pending in Miami County.
