McPherson County Health Department reports 260 total confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in McPherson County. 247 of the total confirmed cases have now met recovery guidelines set forth by the KDHE. Nancy Weishaar to Retire After 48 Years with the KSHSAA

TOPEKA, Kan – On September 30, Nancy Weishaar will retire from the Kansas State High School Activities Association after 48 years of faithful service to officials and member schools. Football rules books were 60 cents and there were 655 high schools when Weishaar began her career at the KSHSAA on September 8, 1972. Multiple Adjustments Approved for KSHSAA Fall Postseason

TOPEKA, Kan – Following a regular scheduled KSHSAA Executive Board and Board of Directors meeting, Sept. 15 and 16, multiple adjustments have been made to the fall postseason for KSHSAA activities. A brief synopsis by activity is provided below. Further detail will be in the official publication of the minutes to be posted at kshsaa.org next week. Positive case #248 was identified late Tuesday, September 15th and is a symptomatic male in his 80s with known exposure and is related to an outbreak at a local assisted living facility. McPherson County Humane Society Golf Tournament

The McPherson County Humane Society is holding their 3rd annual Cattyshack Golf Tournament on September 19th. This event takes place at the McPherson Turkey Creek Golf Course, which is located on 1000 Fox Run Road. This tournament starts at 8:00am and goes till 1:00pm. It is a 4-person scramble. There is a $50 entry fee, which includes lunch and one ticket for the 50/50 cash raffle. It is $10 for each ticket or 5 for $20.
